ERC Advanced Grant
The paper titled: «Free as a Bird: Event-based Dynamic Sense-and-Avoid for Ornithopter Robot Flight», has been accepted and will be issued in the IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters.
The authors: Juan Pablo Rodríguez Gómez, Raúl Tapia, María del Mar Guzmán García, J. Ramiro Martinez de Dios and Anibal Ollero are happy with the results obtained. We are all looking forward to the publishing of the paper 📝🐦🤖.
The director of GRVC research group at the Universidad de Sevilla, Anibal Ollero, was recently interviewed by Canal Sur TV. The interview was broadcasted the 25th of January on EnRed, and in it Aníbal talks about the state of research in drone technologies, and about some of the works currently being developed alongside his team.
Expodrónica 2021 will have several international personalities in aerial robotics, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Urban Air Mobility (UAM) as speakers. Anibal Ollero, Director of the GRVC Robotics Lab, coordinator of the H2020 AERIAL-CORE project and principal investigator of the GRIFFIN Advanced Grant of the European Research Council, and Antidio Viguria, coordinator of the Spanish Cervera Network IMOV3 and of the H2020 PILOTING project will participate, together with Analía Fidalgo (Instituto Tecnológico de Galicia) and Aingeru Barrio (Navarra Technology Center for Mobility and Mechatronics) in a panel dealing with new UAS technologies organized by IMOV3. https://www.worldatmcongress.org/openvia-air-campfire
The 7th edition of EXPODRONICA will take place this year within the World ATM Congress, which will take place in Madrid on 26, 27 and 28 October.
Prof. Aníbal Ollero, director of the GRVC Robotics Laboratory at the University of Seville and Scientific advisor of CATEC will participate as speaker at event BNEW 2021-Barcelona (2º Barcelona New Economy Week), in the session entitled “BFUTURIST. Urban Air Mobility: the Future Revolution – Robotics at the Service of Citizens” on Thursday 07 October, 12:00h at Casa Seat.
Prof. Ollero will introduce the ERC Advanced Grant GRIFFIN in his presentation.
Prof. Aníbal Ollero, the AERIAL-CORE Project Coordinator, Director of the GRVC Robotics Laboratory at the University of Seville and Scientific advisor of the CATEC Aerospace Technology Center, will participate in The 1st AIRPHARO Workshop on Aerial Robotic Systems Physically Interacting with the Environment (AIRPHARO 2021) at Ilirija resort, in Biograd na Moru, Croatia, delivering the keynote entitled «Intelligent and bioinspired aerial manipulators» On Monday, October 4th, 8:30-9:10am.
