This last Friday November 16th the kick-off meeting of the GRIFFIN project was held at the Engineering School of the University of Seville and it was a complete success. The conference room was full of university professors and students listening closely to the presentations explaining the challenges and prototypes that will be developed at the project. The assistants also visited the GRVC installations, where they could touch and see the aerial systems with flapping wings.
At Friday November 16th the ERC Advanced Grant project GRIFFIN will have a kick-off meeting at the «Salón de Grados» of the «Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería» (Caminos de los Descubrimientos s/n) in Seville. Researchers from the universities of Seville, Málaga and Castilla-La Mancha as well members from FADA-CATEC will present different methods and technologies related to aerial systems with flapping and foldable wings and aerial manipulators. Anyone who wants to assist to this kick-off meeting can download the event’s agenda on the button below:
The ERC Advanced Grant project called GRIFFIN started at November 1st 2018. The project’s kick-off will be held at the Engineering School of the University of Seville at November 16th, showing which are the projects objetives, proposals and advances.
The GRIFFIN project aims to develop aerial robots with flapping wings to physically interact with humans and safely operate in environments where rotorcrafts couldn’t do it. GRIFFIN is funded under the ERC Advanced Grant budget, granted to professor Aníbal Ollero and the robots will be developed by the members of GRVC (Group of Robotics, Visions and Control) in the Engineering School’s facilities.
